The Clumps Challenges Raise £4,000!

Well done and a huge thank you to our intrepid teams of walkers who took part in the Clumps Challenge and the Mini Clumps Challenge on Saturday 27th September.

The main team completed a 32km trek across Ashdown Forest, taking in 12 of its historic clumps of pine trees while raising funds to help inspire the next generation of young conservationists on the Forest. At the same time walkers took part in the Mini Challenge, learning about the Clumps and the Forest’s wildlife along a 3km trail at the Ashdown Forest Centre.

A special shout out goes to husband and wife team Tom and Emma. While Emma took part in the Clumps Challenge, Tom was also raising funds for the Forest by completing the Hever Half Marathon – amazing stuff!

The Clumps Challenges were held in memory of the Forest’s late CEO, James Adler, who was passionate about supporting young people to learn about the natural environment and how to help protect it for the future. So far, the teams have helped to raise an amazing £4,030, but there is still time to show your support by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/clumpschallenge2025.
